Donate today and help us renovate the kitchen of our New Rochelle residence!
Our New Rochelle residence is unique among our Family Transitional Shelter facilities in many ways. Nestled in Westchester County, this spacious house was acquired by Providence House in the mid-1980s and was renovated in part by the Sisters who lived there to get it ready for the families they would live alongside.
Today, 10 families live here at any given time, all sharing one large communal kitchen and dining room. As you can imagine, a shared kitchen for a household of this size takes a lot of wear and tear. The space could use new flooring after some water damage over the years and the cabinets need to be reconfigured so each family has their own designated pantry space. We’d also like to supply them with new, more durable countertops to minimize future refurbishments.
We hope you consider supporting this kitchen remodel!
