Building Community, Strengthening Families, and Driving Impact

What an amazing start of the year we’ve had across our programs! From launching innovative initiatives to deepening community connections, our teams have been relentless in their pursuit of meaningful, lasting impact.

At our Supportive Housing, the "Grow With Me" program has truly flourished—both literally and figuratively. This initiative empowers women and families to cultivate herbs and plants that will eventually be used in the meals they prepare. But beyond gardening, it has become a powerful symbol of resilience, collaboration, and shared purpose. When families plant and nurture together, they are not just growing food—they are growing community, confidence, and hope.

At our New Rochelle house, our "Food is Community" program continues to be a cornerstone of connection. This monthly gathering brings together residents—past and present—to cook, share a meal, exchange resources, and, most importantly, uplift one another. It is a space where unity is cultivated, where social bonds are strengthened, and where empowerment is not just encouraged but lived.

Meanwhile, at Glenmore, our team is driving transformational change. This past quarter, they successfully transitioned 13 families into permanent housing, exceeding our goals and reaffirming our commitment to long-term stability for the families we serve. But their work goes beyond housing—our programming fosters self-confidence, family bonding, and a deep sense of belonging, ensuring that families don’t just survive but thrive.

A significant milestone this quarter was the implementation of Narcan training, an essential step in our harm reduction efforts and education on the opioid crisis. This is just the beginning of our ongoing commitment to this urgent issue.

At the heart of our mission is something greater than services—it’s about dignity, connection, and lasting change. As you look through these images, you’ll see the soul of our work reflected in the faces of our residents, the dedication of our teams, and the strength of the communities we continue to build together.
