It’s Official: Our New Rochelle Kitchen is Under Construction!
On April 27th, Providence House, in partnership with designer Jessica Whitney Gould, will kick off a project to renovate, redesign, and beautify the kitchen at our New Rochelle site.

March is Social Worker Awareness Month, and we at Providence House want to take the time to put a spotlight on an incredible member of our team: Antonette Jones. Antonette is a case manager at our Bishop Sullivan residence and she works with individuals placed in supportive housing.

Crafting ‘Home’ with Les Monarcas De Barro
We had the pleasure of partnering with the team from Les Monarcas De Barro to hold a visual arts pottery workshop at our Glenmore residence, encouraging participants to create their own personal concept of “home”.

The Healing Power of Meditation
On a rainy Thursday afternoon, Providence House transformed the community room at our Women’s Justice Program into an oasis of positive energy. A circle formed with comfortable seating options and yoga mats curved around the space. Calming music and sounds complemented the aroma of lavender and citrus essential oils, creating an atmosphere of pure tranquility. Over the course of an hour and half, 14 women came together to engage in a guided meditation focused on self-love.

Providence House Fights to Close Rikers Island
Providence House is a proud member of the Close Rikers Campaign, which seeks to bring an end to the notorious NYC jail. On January 26th, we stood with over 100 activists and advocates to raise awareness about this important work.
